Peanut Butter Fudge

Well The Shameful Narcissist is entirely to blame for this one. She just had to keep mentioning homemade fudge. But, if I am to blame her that means that I have to thank her too because this was a mouthful of delicious. (I’ll note here that I am a peanut butter fiend.)

I can’t link you to this recipe because it leads to some random ass blog that has nothing to do with baking and the recipe was just on an image on Pinterest anyway. So I’ll type the recipe out in full:

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp. vanilla

3/4 cup peanut butter

Bring sugar and milk to boil. Boil 2 & 1/2 minutes, remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla.

That’s it! It took less than 5 minutes to make. While hot I poured onto flat plate and let it cool for about 15 minutes. The rest is tasty, tasty history.

  1. Yeah, I couldn’t believe when you were making it how easy it was! And how you could just pour it onto a plate without needing to do anything extra to keep it from sticking. Very good recipe. 🙂 It seriously just melts in your mouth. Peanut butter perfection!

  2. I regret nothing! #thatfatlife

Dammit now I want to make fudge! I’m not huge on PB fudge, because I’m super picky with how I eat my peanut butter (with jelly THANK YOU…Reese’s chocolate is acceptable, too), but this would require me putting on pants, looking somewhat presentable, and going to the store for ingredients. It would also necessitate me to clean my kitchen, and I’m doing SUCH a good job at avoiding my responsibilities by checking my WP subscriptions and replying to lovely people. This is why I wish my market delivered.

Even though PB fudge isn’t my typical confectionery go-to that does look delicious, and I MIGHT be convinced to take a bit (half) of it.

      1. Dude I’m SO mad at you right now. I was looking at a recipe for cake batter fudge, and that’s totally your fault…which is totally my fault because somehow I made you make PB fudge. Look I can’t keep this straight. I’d be at the store right now, but I don’t feel like going through the effort of leaving my apartment. We went grocery shopping on Monday. Okay so my husband went grocery shopping and he isn’t here for me to send out, and I’m lazy as hell. I am going out to brunch with my brother tomorrow and I DO need to get some hand towels sooooo yeah…I’m probably making cake batter fudge. At least I did clean the kitchen.

      2. LMFAO. Well at least I didn’t make you go out needlessly, you’re already going somewhere! lol. I didn’t know cake batter fudge was a thing, I’m going to have to go look that up now. 😛
Why do we keep torturing each other??

      3. I actually wound up purchasing fudge after breakfast, because my brother showed me the candy store right next to the breakfast place. Hell, I’ll give you the recipe! It’s kind of microwave fudge, but it’s just as good.

I still want to make this, but I’m home, comfortable, and I have posts to write so I don’t want to leave to get the ingredients. Maybe later after I’ve had some more coffee :p
