Welcome, October!

Oh, sure. I know it’s already 11 days in but ya ghoul’s life has been chaotic lately. That does not mean that I don’t make time for all things October!

I finally read and finished a book for the first time in 2 months. I will review that soon.

Mr. C&M and I recently watched Rob Zombie’s Munsters:

Let me state that, I will forever choose the Addams Family over the Munsters. For whatever reason, I just never sat down and played with the Munsters. That being said, this movie was fine. It was quirky and the set designs were really cool. Now, Mr. C&M is a huge Munsters fan, and he didn’t really like it. He thought grandpa and Lily were well played and the set designs were cool, but he fell asleep 3/4 of the way through it and sees no reason to go back and view what he missed.

Ridley woke me up much too early this morning, so I put Halloween Wars on for entertainment. It’s a fun little show to drink your coffee too while getting in the spooky spirit.

My life should calm down this week so here’s to hoping that I will be more present online and get fully immersed in my favorite season. 🙂

      1. The guy who played Gomez in the tv show starred in the tv show Night Court later on. He was an insane guy then and you could tell he definitely had a style of acting that could only be utilized by a character like Gomez 😀

  1. See this is what happens when you read Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. There’s just not that much time left in the month.

Also ‘the movie was fine’ isn’t enough praise for me to watch it 😉

    1. Haha, I mean, I can’t lie! It is ‘fine’. As far as recommendations go, I would not be telling people that they had to go watch it. You could definitely skip it and your life will continue just fine. 😉

  2. I’m an Addams Family girl, too, more the movie than the show. I think I was a little young for the show, but I absolutely love the two 90’s movies, and I want to check out the Netflix show at some point. I think if there’d been a 90’s Munsters movie that was as good as the Addams Family I probably would’ve been into that lol.

    1. I was never into the show either. The movies own my heart. I can watch those over and over again. I’m not sure if I would have gotten into the Munsters or not. I didn’t particularly care for Lily. I mean, in comparison to Morticia, she just can’t hang.

  3. I didn’t even know Rob Zombie was doing, like, anything. In fact, I still don’t know why he broke up White Zombie when they were so great, and then he went on to be way more conventional as a solo act.

      1. Uuuuuuhhhhhhh…..that was unexpected, lol. I was picture him more like Ted Nugent at home, just shooting everything that movies. I hate to say it, but as much as I like Sheri in her role in the House of 1,000 Corpses movies, I saw her do an interview and she was just a complete idiot.

      2. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an interview with her to be honest. In general, interviews aren’t always my thing, so I’ve taken the time. Was it old or recent? Just wondering if maybe she got smarter with age?
