Vacation Incoming!

We were supposed to be running off to California in a few days however Covid-19 had other plans and the gaming competition we were supposed to go to has been postponed until April, right around my birthday.

Despite that, we’re still taking the time off because work sucks and we need time to get our lives back under some form of control.

Usually, my vacation post is to mention that I will be MIA for a little bit, but I actually think I will try to blog more while I’m off. I haven’t posted in almost 10 days because the workload for school has been heavier this semester but I’m actually enjoying the classes so I’m not pulling my hair out. Yet, anyway.

I’m currently working on rereading The Goblet of Fire with Ms. Moth for our annual Harry Potter reread. By annual, I mean we read about 1 book in the series a year but it’s usually around this time.

For now, I leave you with my snow boy doing snow boy things. ❤

    1. Yes, I’m bummed about California. It would be great to get to a sunny state to escape the Michigan winter but it will still happen.
I definitely need the time away from work. It feels like it’s almost all I do anymore aside from school.

      1. Are you working 40+?
Stores around our area are starting to have really weird hours because they can’t get enough help. A couple of the smaller fast food places are actually closed until further notice. It’s crazy…

      2. I am working 40+ but it’s just barely over 40. I put my foot down and refused to do any more than that because mentally, I was done and couldn’t handle more. This week has dropped off significantly in turns of how busy we have been compared to the last 5 months. Which means that the boss is freaking out about that too. I think I might do a post while I am off about how the pharmacy world is imploding.

      3. Oh man, I am glad you put your foot down.
Sorry to hear you’re dealing with work stress one way or another though, that sucks!

I guess that idea of the bookstore is looking more and more appealing, right? 😀

    1. I would love to say that he is constantly vigilant, but he has passed that torch to the younger one. He naps while she guards the house. Lmao.
When he was younger though, I don’t think anyone would have dared break into our house. I locked myself out once and had to knock for our roommate at the time to let me in, Ozzy sounded like a hound of Hell was on the other side of that door.

    1. Currently, every time we try to hang out with someone, they have a Covid scare. Our plan is to be hermits for the winter (aside from when we were to go to California) and hope that spring brings better things. Until then, puzzles, books and organizing our house. 🙂

  1. If we don’t take pictures of our animals in the snow, are we even living? His face says, “Mother, where have you left me?” lol. Ugh, this pandemic sucks, but the absolute batshittery nonsense of people sucks worse.

      1. Yes, I did not want to lose power. I prepped like we might though. We didn’t but I was ready. Well, as ready as you can be for something like that in the middle of winter anyway.
