Podcasts + Audible

I have recently (in the last week) gotten into podcasts. There are only about one million of them so finding decent ones has been a little more difficult than I intended. Specifically, Sci-Fi and Fantasy book related. So my question for you gentle friends is, what podcast would you suggest for those two genres?

If you know of other good podcasts, non-book related, feel free to shoot me those too.

The podcasts I’ve enjoyed so far; The Scathing Atheist, Serial Killers and Godawful Movies.

Onto my next inquiry. I have very little time these days to look into things very far (working overtime every week) so I’m requesting your experienced knowledge. Is Audible worth $14.95 per month? Or should I only buy audible books that I’m interested in? (The one book I checked the audible price on was $25.95. Is that normal pricing for a single book?)

Thank you for your input!

Pharmacy Lady C&M

I will be scarce this next week. If you’re just tuning into this blog, I work for an independent pharmacy. I helped open it 6.5 years ago. Every once in awhile, a conference comes up that will help continue to grow the business. I’ve been to Pittsburgh to learn how to set up a medication synchronization program. (That’s been a big success.) I’ve been to Atlanta to a vitamin/supplement conference. (We barely use the vitamins anymore but their probiotics are on point.) Now I trot off to yet another state to see what pharmacy wonders we can learn. This time, it will be pharmacy software related. We’ve used an advanced software program since the day we opened but now we’re going to learn about some of the features we haven’t even tried to touch yet.

So I won’t be posting until I return but you can follow my shenanigans on Instagram as it’s easily accessible.

C&M 2018 Evolution

I’ve been considering a few things about the blog for a couple of months now and I will be putting them into action in 2018.

First – I will be changing my book review format for a more professional approach. That’s something I’ve been thinking about doing for a long time and just never got around to it.

Second – I joined Netgalley. I’m hoping to get approved for some pretty awesome books but since I currently am at zero reviews and feedback on the site, I may have to start with some not so awesome or at least requested less ARCs. It will be an adventure nonetheless.

Third – I joined Instagram with the intent of it being a Bookstagram at least 90% of the time. I can’t promise that the animals won’t make an appearance here and there as they are freaking adorable. I’m still not entirely sure what I’m doing on that website yet but you can follow me (and I’ll follow you in return) anyway: C&M Bookstagram

I’m really excited for these new ventures in blogging and social media and hope to really grow this blog in 2018. (Quickly approaching 350 followers as it is. You guys are amazing!)
