Oh that’s right kiddos. The terrible twosome have united once again to rain horror, science fiction and fantasy down on your heads! (That’s myself and Ignited Moth if you hadn’t figured that out already.)
“If you’re looking for a monstrously good time, rest assured, you’ve come to the right place. We’re two best friends with a sisterhood forged in the Unholy Trinity that is Horror, Fantasy and Science Fiction. When we’re not busy devouring books, we’re cooking up sinisterly scrumptious baked goods and other delights (and sometimes horrors) in our kitchens. Expect the unexpected, because we like to shake things up. Our blog is its own Frankenstein’s Monster of our own hobbies and passions all stitched together into one glorious abomination that encompasses everything from what we’re reading and watching, to the hobbies we’re working on, our adventures in baking, and plenty more!”
Oh no! The best holiday of the year has come to an end. Alas, it was a fangtastic day!
It also happens to be my husband and I’s wedding anniversary. So we went out to lunch and then last minute candy shopping for trick or treaters. I’ve actually never handed out candy before. I’m usually running around everywhere doing all the things besides handing out candy. It was a lot of fun. We give out giant handfuls of candy. We want all the kids to love Halloween as much as we do and there was nothing better than seeing the looks on their faces when we piled them up with the good stuff. We received a lot of “WOWs” and “OMGs” and every single kid said “Thank you” and “Happy Halloween” enthusiastically. It’s our goal to become a known Halloween destination every year.
Here’s a couple pics of yours truly waiting for the kids to arrive:
We finished the night with watching Hocus Pocus since it had been years since I last watched it and it’s now the 20th anniversary.
How was your Halloween?? I must scurry off to get ready for work now but I would love to hear about it!
I’ve been living the life of no work since Friday evening and it has been fan-tabulous! Eating out at restaurants on a frequent basis, antiquing, being spoiled by my dad with candles, coffee mugs and new shoes while he’s town and just relaxing in general. Life at work had pretty much become as follows:
I have one day left and I plan to make the most of it before I return to the dredge of earning money. (The bank account is hurting due to my good times but oh well!)
