Pumpkin Beer Bread – FAIL

Of course I go to use WP and it’s functioning like crap. I’m having to put in far too much effort to check my comments and go to other people’s blogs, BUT I’m nothing if not stubborn!

This recipe was a hard fail. I’m not 100% sure as to why. It LOOKS perfect but had a soapy taste to it. The only things I can think of are 1:) It was the wrong beer to use with it. I’ve never used a low calorie beer before or 2:) that is FAR too much baking powder. I don’t recall ever seeing a recipe that called for an entire tablespoon of baking powder.

So that makes this a try-at-your-own-peril recipe. D:

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

I’ve been getting that itch lately to bake again. Plus, my coworker brought in and gave away humongous zucchinis from his garden. One of those giants made our dinner AND 2 cups of shredded zucchini for this recipe. I’ve got bananas that are going to brown soon and pumpkin/apple season is right around the corner. Let the baking madness begin!

*side note* this recipe is good even if you manage to forget to add the vanilla extract. :3

Blueberry Banana Bread

I have baked so many breads that it’s finally getting to the point where I’m not 100% positive that I have not done this recipe before. I don’t THINK I have.

Either way, I think it’s perfectly acceptable to re-post good recipes.

The grocery stores have been loaded with blueberries and it’s hard to resist buying them every single time I go shopping. Obviously, at least once, I did not resist.

This is an easy recipe with your classic banana bread taste, peppered with pops of delicious tartness. Great for summer picnics.

Buttermilk Pumpkin Bread

I have seriously slacked when it comes to baking this Halloween season. But fear not, I celebrate all things pumpkin all the way until Thanksgiving.

I recently joined a baking group that meets once a year in December and bakes and decorates a mass amount of cookies. I’m actually pretty nervous about it as these people have been doing this for 20 years and I’ve only been baking about a year and half now. I’m convinced that my cookies will fail in some manner but I’m sure I’ll also learn approximately one million things from these people.

Anywho, this recipe was quite tasty. I don’t know that the buttermilk actually made much of a difference compared to any other pumpkin bread recipe but I needed to use it up and this recipe fit the bill.

Raspberry Muffin Bread

The great thing about being really into baking is when your house is fully stocked with all the supplies necessary and you can just pick up one item to make something fabulous. In this case, my grocery store had raspberries on sale, 2 for $1. How could I resist? Raspberries are amazing! I was able to double the recipe and make two great loaves for $1.
