A River Runs Through It

Oh yeah, I totally jacked that title just because a river runs through my town.

The last couple of weeks have felt very hectic. We’ve been doing something every weekend, so it was good to take a morning and sit by the river. Mr. C&M loves to fish, so he fed all his worms to the nice fish while I took pictures and just soaked in calm, lazy river atmosphere.

What was your favorite thing that you did this past week/weekend?

  1. Here’s where I point out that my town was the setting for a river runs through it. Your weekend sounds more chill than usual. Maybe try to keep it up? πŸ™‚

      1. So… if you make plans to relax does that mean you won’t be able to? Because that’s totally how it works for me, somehow πŸ˜‚

  2. Oooooh, I see a tackle box! Do you guys eat the fish he catches?

Last weekend I volunteered with hospice for a couple of hours. We also ate out at a Cubs-themed restaurant. Indiana does not have it’s own baseball team, so we’ve latched on to our neighbor’s.

    1. Most of the time he just does catch & release. In this area of Michigan, about 50% of the fish have a parasite that you don’t want to eat. When he goes fishing in northern Michigan, if it’s big enough, he’ll keep it. He wants to get back up there for salmon fishing sometime this year.

Any particular reason Indiana doesn’t have a baseball team?

      1. There’s a parasite???

I have no clue why Indiana doesn’t have a baseball team, nor do I know why they didn’t choose the Tigers or the White Sox instead of the Cubs.

      2. Yes, it appears as little black dots on the fish. I know you don’t want to eat the fish if they have that, but I don’t remember why exactly.

*Does google search* Apparently the parasite is harmless to humans, and you can eat it but no thanks.

  3. Sounds like a nice and relaxing time. I’m glad you guys carved out a nice little chunk of time for yourselves. ❀
You know my favorite part of the week already (SHARK WEEK!) haha πŸ˜›
