Coffee & A Chat – Cat Butt

I don’t get no respect.

Hello my favorite little weirdos! It’s the first Coffee & A Chat of 2020. A post where I just ramble about whatever I feel like because I can and I will.

First and foremost – I HAVE BOUGHT ZERO BOOKS IN JANUARY. I didn’t think I could do it but I did. I’ve been on an Urban Fantasy kick as of late and I own quite a few of those. I’m also working on a controversial non-fiction read. I take my time with non-fiction though or I don’t enjoy it as much. I have to finish it by March 3rd as that is when my Kindle Unlimited ends and I do not plan to renew it. I find I can read most of what I want that’s available on Unlimited within a month or two.

I’ve decided to not stress myself about posting on the blog so there may some weeks where I post frequently enough and others where I only post once. That does not mean however that I’m not going to keep up on YOUR blog posts. It’s a part of my morning coffee-before-work routine to see what everyone else is up to.

It hasn’t been a REAL winter here in my part of Michigan. All rain and ice and very little snow. Why am I complaining about this? Because it means I have little excuse not to go out when people ask us to and I was really looking forward to using that excuse to stay home more.

Mr. C&M and I have a lot of metal concerts planned this year. With no vacation to save up for, we’ll be doing more fun little things.

Tomorrow is the Super Bowl, which in general, I don’t care about BUT my boss has a crazy party every year so either I need to run out to buy a snack to bring or find an easy baked good to make, so ta-ta for now!

How has 2020 treated you thus far and what are you looking forward to the most???

  1. Oh man, I’d forgotten the Superbowl is tomorrow. Man, there is going to be a stampede at the end of church as everyone leaves for the pre-game parties. More power to them! I’ll stay home and read 🙂

I have had enough of winter here in New England. We got lambasted by a storm first thing this season with 18+inches of snow and while the rest of the season has been very low key, I’m just waiting for another monster to hit us this month or even in March. Oh the joy /sarcasm

Have fun at the concerts. Wear your earplugs 😉

    1. If we’ve accumulated even 10 inches since winter started, I would be impressed. We got hit at the beginning of the season with a big storm (might have been the same one) and then just little ones here and there since then.

Thank you for the reminder about the ear plugs actually lol. I need to pick up some new ones.

  2. Haha there’s that cats bottom again! What is the controversial book you’re reading? Do tell. I like controversy. I have no real interest in sports either unless it’s Paint Balling, pool/snooker, chess or Gladiatorial Battles. I also like Ninja Warrior and have high hopes for my six year old in that field. You should see her on the monkey bars. She hangs from one hand and then launches herself a good metre to the next bar. Hoorah for more metal concerts. I was disappointed I didn’t get to see Metallica and Slipknot last year due to the cancellation but ahhh well. 2020 has been good so far. Busy with work and I’ve achieved more than I expected with my humble little hobby. Keep up with the blog posts but yeah don’t stress. Never stress!!!

    1. It’s The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. Religion or lack there of is always a touchy subject and one I’ve not approached on the blog yet. While I’m enjoying it, I can’t sit long reading it either but I’ve got to finish it this month.

That is awesome about your daughter. We watch that from time to time. Hopefully one day she’ll be kicking ass and taking names on it. 😉

I’m glad that 2020 is treating you good so far! Once it warms up, I hope to get serious about my woodworking hobby.

  3. I don’t really care about football either, and my husband only does when his favorite team is playing. Tomorrow during the superbowl I am going out to run some errands, because I know traffic will be light and I’ll have the place to myself 😛

    1. That’s a great plan actually lol. I refer to all sports as Sportsball. I can’t be bothered to know anything about any of them. 😛 I didn’t know who was playing in the Superbowl until yesterday.

  4. I saw “cat butt” and I had to read, because that’s a position I find myself in. I’ve made peace with the fact their butts have touched everything I own, and they love to show them off.

We didn’t really watch the Super Bowl either; I was just happy the Patriots weren’t playing *evil laughter* We haven’t had much winter either, which is annoying. Snow would give me a better excuse to work from home plus if it’s going to be cold, it might as well snow.

    1. That’s my thoughts exactly. If it’s going to be cold it might as well snow and be pretty. Not to mention, if I wanted to live where it rains all the time, I’d move to Seattle.

Cat butts own our lives. A gross fact.

  5. It’s always good to take a break. I have never done the Kindle Unlimited offer but I can see where you’d really knock out a lot in the trial period and then once you’re caught up, let it go. Smart thinking! Haha.
