To some people the idea of baking is intimidating, thus they avoid it. They dream of the ability but they don’t take that leap. My advice, as only a decent baker definitely not a pro, is to start easy and build your confidence from there. That’s what I did. It all started with an easy quick bread recipe and every once in awhile I push myself out of my comfort zone to learn something new. (Not the case with this recipe, I wanted easy.)
This recipe is a great place to start for the beginning baker. It was a hit at the work potluck and it’s so easy. I’m going to make a second batch for home since I have enough left over ingredients besides one.

Looks lovely! I can’t cook to save my life! My mum was actually a professional baker, and my older brother a chef… whereas I can burn water!! so the microwave is my best friend š
Haha! My husband’s best friend was the type of person to burn water but he joined the Navy and became a cook somehow. Long story short, he’s an excellent cook now. Not that I recommend joining the military just to learn how to cook. š
Oddly, I come from a military family with my Dad being a Paratrooper, my Grandad was in the Royal Marines and for a few years before becoming a chef my brother was a military policeman! I of course am the odd one out – the rebel who decided to go into further education… still can’t cook of course!! š
Rebel WITH a cause! I love learning. If I could go to school full time and just study a bunch of random stuff, I’d be pumped.
These sound amazing.
They were pretty damn good!
Yum! Looks good. š
They are an easy, tasty party treat to make. š
I’m definitely a beginner, so this definitely suits me! (also it looks delicious!)
You should give it a try sometime then! It’s SO easy.
