The Tell-Tale Heart – Short Story Review

Published Date: 1843

Pages: 4

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Ah yes, the most popular short story by Poe. With good reason, it stands up to the test of time.

I find it interesting the almost spot on depiction of how most serial killers get cocky after their murders (or even leading up to) from a time before anyone had studied serial killers.

Maybe Poe was even darker than we ever imagined. *wink wink*

  1. This immediately made me think of an episode of the Simpsons, haha. It’s kinda sad most of my literary knowledge comes from that show 😛

  2. Jeez, you’re making me wanna bust out my big collection of Poe stories and poems and do some re-reading. Glad you got to squeeze in some good classics like this before Halloween. 🙂

  3. I remember The Simpsons’ reenactment of this because of course “Simpsons did it!” They did The Raven, too, didn’t they…

I have all of Poe Boy’s works on my Kindle (I think it was either $0.99 or free). I just need to read them.
