Okay, obviously my main hobby is reading, but a person can have more than one!
So I’m just curious what everyone’s secondary hobby is. TELL ME DAMNIT.
I’m considering taking up crafting things with wood pallets since I have a source to get them for free. (Maybe more than one but time will tell.)
I have six hobbies and counting! Reading, video games, knitting, crochet, cross stitch, yoga, etc. Itβs a real trial to find time for them all!
I do a little knitting but only in the winter time and the only thing I can knit are scarves. π
Hmmm… tabletop gaming (but more the modelling and painting really), Dadding, reading, rpg-ing, running and hiking… I could do with an extra day in the week!
An extra day in the week would be awesome! Sounds like you have a lot of fun though. π
Oh, i’d love to have a bookshelf made of wooden crates or boxes or whatever they are called.
That sofa in that pic looks pretty awesome too!
Bookshelves are definitely on the list to learn to make! You can never have too many. π
First hobby: reading. Second hobby: blogging π I do play soccer, is that a hobby?
Yes? I mean, if you love it and do it in your spare time, it’s a hobby right? I think it counts!
Reading, blogging (definitely call that a second hobby) and then magic the gathering. That’s a distant third but helps keep me from being 100% anti-social. Oh and I do go to the gun range every 6-8 weeks, so I guess that’s an even distant’er fourth?
I didn’t even count blogging lol. So I guess that would make this my third hobby if I decide to do it.
Those are some really cool ideas for making stuff with pallets! I can’t wait to see what you end up making. π
I feel like you already know all my hobbies, but I’m gonna list them anyway! π Writing, reading, drawing (really, really need to get back into that one), going to the gym are the main ones. I’ve been missing some of the older ones too though that I just don’t seem to have any time for anymore (video games, horror movies, snapping photos of stuff, baking.)
Best of luck to you with your new hobby! I think it’s awesome. β€
Thanks doll! I spent an hour cleaning out the garage today to make room and organize and see what stuff I’ll need. Now to just get some pallets! (Checking at the local lumberyard today once my pants are done drying.) You really do need to get back into drawing! You’re amazing!
Aw, thank you! β€ That makes me want to do it again even more. π
Really looking forward to seeing what you build with your new hobby.
Oooh, I have dozens of ’em! Comic Books, Video-games, writing, drawing, and, of course, costumed crimefighting!! π
That last one is the most important!!
Reading. Writing. Gaming. Heavy metal. Fantasy adoration. Sci-fi appreciation. Chinese food addiction. Telling my Pug to cease his incessant licking which I do so often it may as well be a hobby!
My fiance had some ideas to work with pallets some time ago in the hopes of creating something unique. Translation – we have some soggy wood slowly rotting behind the shed.
I’m sure that is what my husband is convinced is going to happen! I want to at least try it so badly that I’m having a hard time focusing on anything else. (Finding pallets around here has been harder than I thought.)
Speaking of heavy metal, we’re going to see Ozzy on the 19th. Super pumped about that.
Pugs may be one of the greatest creatures ever created. One my dogs does that incessant licking as well. It’s enough to drive you completely bonkers!
Video games and writing are my two other ones π Do cats count as a hobby?
Why not?! You have to invest time and money into them. They surely count!
Crochet, reading, writing, gardening, talking to my kitties, eating… Yes eating too.
All good hobbies!
Bit late to this hobby parade – but the very best sort of hobby (for me) that isn’t reading is taking something cheap from the pound / dollar store
https://manoftinblog.wordpress.com/2018/01/28/pound-store-plastic-figure-conversions-and-comparisons/
Or bashed and broken old toy figures from junk shops and online job lots

And turn them into something fresh and new for the gaming table and give them back their play value / toy dignity. (A bit like turning pallets into something new)
It’s great to repurpose old things!
